About Keyfold

Keyfold is a macOS productivity app currently in alpha. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We do our best to keep things stable but can't guarantee uptime or backward compatibility while the product is pre-release.

Your account

You need an account to use parts of Keyfold (e.g. submitting widgets, syncing data). You must:

• Be at least 13 years old.
• Provide accurate sign-up details.
• Keep your password and access credentials confidential.
• Be responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Notify us at harshit@keyfold.io if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Don't use Keyfold to:

• Break the law or violate someone else's rights.
• Upload malicious code, malware, or anything designed to harm users or systems.
• Impersonate another person or organization.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from the product (beyond what's permitted by law).
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from keyfold.io in ways that overload our infrastructure.
• Use Keyfold to abuse, harass, or threaten others.

Widgets you submit

You retain ownership of any widget you submit to the Keyfold store. By submitting, you grant Keyfold a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that widget through the Keyfold app and website for as long as it's listed.

You're responsible for ensuring your widget:

• Doesn't infringe anyone else's rights (copyright, trademark, patent, etc.).
• Doesn't contain malware or do anything malicious.
• Doesn't violate the acceptable use rules above.

We review submissions before they go live and can remove anything that violates these terms or our content policies, with or without notice.

Service availability

Keyfold is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee:

• That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• That it will meet your specific needs or expectations.
• The accuracy or completeness of any content displayed.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Keyfold at any time, especially during the alpha period.

Pricing and BYOK

Keyfold is currently free during alpha. AI features rely on you supplying your own Anthropic API key, which is stored in your Mac's keychain and used to call Anthropic directly. You're responsible for any usage costs charged by Anthropic.

We'll give clear notice before introducing paid features.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice when practical.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keyfold and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, notify you in the product.
